This class follows the Alberta Education standards for 11th grade Chemistry
In this course students will use models to help them understand and describe simple molecular substances. In the lab, they’ll explore the behaviour of gases, and they’ll apply this knowledge to natural processes like breathing and to technologies like gas turbines. They will write and balance chemical equations, analyze chemical reactions, and learn to predict the products, states and yields of different reactions. They will also relate ion concentrations to pH and pOH of acidic and basic solution
