This class follows the Alberta Education standards for grade 12th Chemistry.
In this course students will explore different uses and applications of energy associated with chemical reactions. They’ll analyze, interpret and quantify thermochemical changes and electrochemical changes. Your teen will compare organic and inorganic compounds, create models of organic compounds and describe the significance of organic chemistry in industry and our daily life. They will also examine the factors that influence equilibrium shifts in acid-base reactions, and they’ll calculate concentration of ions and the pH and pOH of acidic and basic solutions
